私人信函是写给亲朋好友，与他们互通消息的。

它可以帮助你问候想念的人，包括在外地念书或野营的孩子、出门在外的丈夫或妻子、远方的游人登。故此，私人信函不像公务信函那样程式化，千篇一律，毫无个人感情。
